Can Palmada
The true name of the house known as Can Palmada (taking the name of its former
occupant), is Can Salvador de la Plaça. Construction of the house began in the
14th century, and there have been many modifications during the years. It was
the home of the Salvador family, famous botanics, doctors and chemists etc.
They were well known throughout Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. The building
retains architectural details from the 15th and 16th century including an impressive gothic window with two openings. At one corner can be seen original defensive brackets.
