Sailing club
The Calella sailing club was created as a private entity on the 23rd august 1970. It has approx 50 members,
170 family members and occupies, temporarily, a building next to the municipal athletics track.
It runs a sailing school, on regulations of the Catalonian Federation of Sailing. Its principal activity is
sailing, with the running of regatta courses and complementary activities such as fishing contests, parties, havaneres singing
havaneres (typical fishermen choir) and childrens activities. The club also organises sailing contests such as
the Catalonian championships, Spanish cup, Calella regatta, President trophy, d’Argent trophy and the
Fresó trophy.
