Manuel Puigvert promenade
The project for the promenade on Calella beach was begun between 1895 and 1904
when the last trees were planted. The driving force behind the project was the mayor, Manuel Puigvert, and the promenade was named after him. In 1927, under the guidance of the architect Jeroni Martorell, it was renovated and a new handrail installed which is still in place today.
